Psylocke, born Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock, first appeared in Captain Britain (1976), created by Chris Claremont and Herb Trimpe. Originally a British secret agent and mutant with precognition and telepathy, her life changed drastically when her consciousness was merged with the body of a Japanese assassin named Kwannon. This fusion gave her enhanced combat skills and a striking ninja appearance.

Psylocke became known for wielding powerful psychic weapons, such as her iconic purple psychic knife and psychic katana, which target an enemy's mind directly. A core member of the X-Men, she has fought alongside Wolverine, Storm, and many others in major battles. Her mix of elegance, mysticism, and lethality makes her one of Marvel’s most beloved female characters.
