Dagger (real name Tandy Bowen) is a Marvel Comics character from Cloak and Dagger. She first appeared in Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #64 (1982), created by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan. Born into a wealthy but emotionally distant family, Tandy ran away and crossed paths with Tyrone Johnson (Cloak). After being subjected to an illegal experiment, the two gained superpowers and became inseparable partners in their fight against crime.

Dagger’s primary ability is generating “Light Daggers,” pure energy constructs shaped like blades. These can weaken enemies, cure drug addiction, neutralize toxins, and even heal or calm others. She can also emit dazzling light that cuts through darkness, serving as a counterpart to Cloak’s shadow powers. Together, they form a striking balance of light and darkness, both symbolically and in combat.

More than just a superhero, Dagger represents themes of redemption, struggle, and the need for human connection. Her dynamic with Cloak highlights social inequality and emotional dependency, giving their stories a unique depth.
